Daniel

This picture is of the very talented Daniel Victor.  I am a big fan of his music.
I love the Never Ending White Light Albums http://www.neverendingwhitelights.com/which also feature another favourite of mine Jimmy Gnecco.

The picture is a smaller image than I usually do but actually took alot more dotting..Completed with 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 Artline Drawing System Markers, the smaller image means the dots have to be very carefully placed.

Adventures in Pointillist Sepia

I chose Kurt Cobain for this pointillist picture.  I think his face was very expressive and the entire time I worked on this picture I felt sadness coming from his eyes.  Anyone that draws, paints or takes photographs knows that there is a certain intimacy with the subject as you observe them very closely.  The eyes were my favourite part to do on this picture.  I used Artline brown, yellow, orange and black markers, nib sizes 0.6, 0.4, 0.2 and 0.1.  I enjoy using these "sepia" tones to create an image as it gives it a more realistic look than  black and white.
